At our Samborondón Campus, we welcomed three exchange students from Colombia and Mexico, who will live an enriching chapter as ambassadors of their countries. The gathering, which marks the start of this wonderful experience, included words of welcome from our president, Joaquín Hernández Alvarado.
What drew the exchange students to ECOTEC
Our sustainability vision and the campus were major draws for the young women. Luisa Morales, a student at the Universidad Tecnológica de Santander (Colombia), said she was inspired by the positive experiences of previous classmates: “What really caught my attention is that ECOTEC is an eco-friendly university, and also that we can easily transfer credits for the courses in our program.” Impressed by the sustainability projects and the layout of the spaces, she said she hopes to strengthen her profile in Marketing: “I want to take home the human experience, because in my field the human side is essential.”
Silvia Mendoza, a student at Universidad Modelo in Mérida (Mexico), came to our country drawn by the environmental initiative to study Multimedia and Audiovisual Production. For her, “the experience of meeting so many new people and the different working styles” will allow her to broaden her horizons and step out of her comfort zone professionally.
