About us

Research as a pillar of education

The Office of Research is responsible for contributing to the development of research at ECOTEC University through the management of scientific, technological, humanistic, and ethical knowledge. Research is regarded as an essential component of the university’s academic work and social responsibility, not only as a formal process of systematizing, creating, appropriating, and disseminating knowledge, but also as a cross-cutting axis of its curricula and a means to develop reflective, critical, creative, and proactive thinking that helps solve scientific and sociocultural problems and contributes to the transformation of society and the advancement of science, technology, art, and innovation at the local, regional, and international levels.

Mission

To contribute to the development of research at ECOTEC University through the management of scientific, technological, humanistic, and ethical knowledge, by means of teaching and community engagement processes, in the context of the PNBV (National Plan for Good Living) and Zonal Agendas 5 and 8.

Vision

To be recognized for its leadership in providing comprehensive responses to the priority problems of the country and the region, through the education of human talent and research projects of excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
