Organized jointly by ECOTEC University and the Municipality of Samborondón, the activity began at 9:00 a.m. with a visit to the General Gómez community. After remarks from Dean Katherine Calero and municipal authorities, more than 85 gifts were delivered to those in attendance. Participants also enjoyed a comedy performance by a clown who accompanied the group during the first visit.
The group then arrived at the Río Seco community, where children from different areas gathered at the 27 de Agosto Educational Unit. More than 200 children enjoyed moments of fun with games and Christmas carols, and each received a gift this holiday season. Closing remarks by Dean Ana María Gallardo of the University brought the event to an end so the children could return to celebrate with their families.
The third stop included the presence of Mayor Juan José Yúnez at an event held in the Guachapelí community—the largest gathering—where more than 300 children and their families enjoyed live music, dance performances, and games for the kids, followed by the distribution of toys and remarks from the University’s deans as well as the Mayor.
The final location brought families together in the San Antonio community, where 175 children welcomed the University’s delegation. On this occasion, the event began with remarks from local authorities, and the toy distribution followed shortly after so the children could enjoy their gifts.
This initiative was made possible thanks to donations from the ECOTEC community—from students to staff—who contributed hundreds of toys, giving these children the opportunity to experience a Christmas filled with joyful memories and fun.
