STUDENT WELFARE
The Student Welfare Unit is an office for institutional support and enforcement.
Through different programs and services, the Student Welfare Unit promotes conditions for comprehensive professional development within a well-being environment, enabling students to take full advantage of their educational programs and of the strengths and assets of the university.
The SWU supports equity, inclusiveness and diversity within the university community through assistance, participation and primary counseling. The SWU activities are aligned with the 2017-2021 Strategic Institutional Plan, which in turn contribute to the objectives of the National Development Plan, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the 2030 UN Agenda.
SWU Mission
Develop projects and programs to respond to special educational needs whether or not they are related to disabilities.
Implement programs and projects for information, prevention and control of situations that may affect the physical, mental and emotional health of the university community.
Provide members of the university community with a safe physical, psychological and sexual environment promoting their well-being.
Promote pedagogical conditions that allow inclusion based on respect, equity and equality.
Promote intercultural exchange.
